I can’t recommend Steve highly enough. From the very start I felt I was in safe hands.

Before our consultation, Steve sent a detailed email that clearly showed he’d taken the time to read through all the information I’d provided and had already started preparing. That alone made me feel reassured, supported and much more confident about the whole process before we’d even met.

The consultation itself was thorough, practical and tailored specifically to me. Steve explained everything clearly and gave me realistic advice that I could start putting into practice straight away.

One of my biggest surprises was discovering how much protein I actually need. I honestly thought I already had that completely sorted, especially when Steve mentioned it’s one of the areas most people get wrong. I was feeling quite smug because I was convinced I wasn’t one of them… it turns out I definitely was! 😂

If you’re looking for someone who genuinely listens, prepares properly and gives evidence based advice without making you feel judged or overwhelmed, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Steve. An excellent service from start to finish.

Steve at Empower Nutrition is knowledgeable and he gave me easy to follow, practical advice. The meal plan he provided was based on foods I already like and simple to stick to. I recently completed Steve's 8-week nutrition and fitness programme and have been delighted with the results.
Steve took the time to understand my goals and created a personalised plan that fitted my lifestyle. The meal plan was excellent, with plenty of variety, and increasing my protein intake made a huge difference to my energy levels and appetite. I've also developed some healthier habits that I'll continue long-term, particularly hydrating first thing each morning before coffee.
I was already active, but Steve encouraged me to introduce resistance training alongside my regular spin classes, which I'm now really enjoying.
What made the biggest difference was the accountability. Having regular check-ins with a real person kept me focused and motivated in a way an app can’t.
My clothes are noticeably looser and a recent Gym Boditrax scan showed excellent results, including low visceral fat levels and a metabolic age significantly younger than my actual age.

Can’t recommend Steve enough! Very patient, explains everything really clearly. Gives practical advice to help reduce food noise. We all watch online videos for advice around healthy eating, but nothing beats tailored advice specifically for you. You spend money on takeouts, eating out, weight loss tablets, weight loss jabs etc etc, so why not spend on someone helping you make true long term change. I have a long way to go in my journey but Steve has helped give me some building blocks to start with.

I strongly recommend Steve Lamper and Empower Nutrition for anyone who wants to understand more about their individual nutrition requirements and how to achieve them. I worked with Steve to get a better understanding of my nutritional needs during perimenopause. He worked out my nutritional requirements to ensure I was correctly fuelling to support my training, long distance running and daily life. I was put on a small calorie deficit, given plenty of information around food choices and options and required to track everything I ate. It soon became apparent that I was significantly undereating protein and good carbs and resorting to snacking to get through the day.
I cut out the snacks, upped the protein and carbs, which included adding a protein shake. After a few weeks of small changes and tweaks, my energy levels were up, cravings gone and the weight slowly dropped.
I completed the 12-week programme having lost the weight I wanted while maintaining a high level of activity. Happy client.

I started working with Steve while preparing for a major individual CrossFit competition, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
When I first came to him, I felt stuck my performance wasn’t improving despite training hard and focusing on recovery. I knew I was doing everything “by the book,” but something was clearly missing. That missing piece turned out to be the right nutrition to properly fuel both my body and mind.
Within just a couple of weeks of following Steve’s program, I began to notice real changes. My energy levels increased, my mood improved significantly, and my recovery became much more effective. I've considered seeking nutritional advice for a couple of years now. My sleep, hydration, exercise, and rest/recovery was on point, yet I've had those extra few kilos I couldn't shift. Steve offered an online consultation, which I found very helpful. Later that week, we met at his studio, and were able to discuss the way forward. Fasting, vegetarianism and chaotic eating had to stop. A couple of months on, I'm still sticking to the 1600 calories, following the Mediterranean diet, and loving my breakfast. I continue to work towards my target weight, and I feel good. I would highly recommend Steve at Empower Nutrition. He's professional, knowledgeable and patient.
