Understand your starting point
Steve reviews your goals, health, medication, previous diets, current routine and the situations in which your nutrition becomes most difficult.
Lose weight without putting your life on hold
A personalised, evidence-based approach that helps you lose weight, improve your health and build habits you can maintain in real life.
Most people already know that vegetables are good for them and that constantly overeating makes weight loss difficult. The problem is rarely a complete lack of knowledge.
The difficult part is making nutrition work when you are busy, tired, eating with your family, travelling, socialising or dealing with a week that has not gone to plan. A rigid diet may work while life is quiet. Sustainable weight loss requires a structure that can survive real life.
Empower Nutrition helps you understand what is actually holding you back, then creates a personalised route forward. You will not be asked to remove every food you enjoy or follow someone else’s perfect routine. The aim is to make progress repeatable.
You lose weight, relax the diet and gradually regain it
You eat well during the week but struggle in the evenings or at weekends
You believe you eat healthily, yet your weight or waist measurement is not changing
You skip meals, become overly hungry and then snack later
You feel confused by calories, carbohydrates, protein and conflicting nutrition advice
Your energy, sleep, stress or routine makes consistency difficult
Your weight changed after menopause, illness, injury or a demanding period of life
You want accountability from a real person rather than another app or generic plan
If you recognise yourself here, you do not need more guilt. You need to identify the patterns driving the problem and build a plan you can use consistently.
Five focused stages to understand your starting point and leave with clear priorities.
Steve reviews your goals, health, medication, previous diets, current routine and the situations in which your nutrition becomes most difficult.
Where appropriate, the assessment records measures such as height, weight, waist, hip, waist-to-height ratio, body-fat percentage if available, blood pressure and resting heart rate. These measures provide context and help you track more than a single number on the scales.
Together, you examine your meal pattern, portions, food choices, protein, energy intake, snacks, fluids and the points in the day or week when the plan tends to unravel.
The assessment separates useful habits from the changes that are consuming effort without producing a meaningful return. This keeps the plan focused and manageable.
You receive practical recommendations based on your needs, preferences and daily life. The aim is to give you a starting structure you understand, rather than a list of rules you cannot sustain.

Your Food for Thought summary following the assessment
The aim is not short-term perfection. It is a way of eating and living that you can continue when life is busy, social and unpredictable.
Your plan is built around foods you enjoy and can access. Sustainable weight loss does not require a separate menu from the rest of your household or the permanent removal of every favourite food.
Clear calorie, protein, meal and portion guidance can remove daily guesswork. The structure is personalised, then adapted as you learn what works.
Nutrition does not operate in isolation. Movement, strength, sleep, stress and the organisation of your day all influence how consistently you can follow your plan.
Meals out, holidays and difficult weeks are part of life. The goal is to help you respond without turning one choice into a complete abandonment of the plan.
Successful weight loss should leave you more confident, not more dependent. You learn why the recommendations work and how to make appropriate choices for yourself.
Different starting points, different goals — with practical support built around real life.
“I joined Steve’s 8-week nutrition and fitness programme because, although I was generally happy with my weight, I wanted to tackle some stubborn post-menopausal belly fat, improve my eating habits and feel healthier overall.
Steve took the time to understand my goals and lifestyle before creating a personalised plan. The meal plan was simple, enjoyable and easy to follow. Increasing my protein intake was a real eye-opener and helped keep me satisfied throughout the day.
I was already exercising regularly, but Steve encouraged me to incorporate resistance training alongside my spin classes, which has improved my strength, balance and overall fitness. The weekly check-ins kept me accountable and motivated. Having a real person guiding and supporting me was far more effective than using an app alone.
The results have been fantastic. My clothes are looser, and a recent Boditrax scan at my gym showed improvements including lower visceral-fat readings, strong muscle scores and a metabolic-age reading 15 years younger than my actual age. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for realistic, sustainable improvements to their health, fitness and nutrition.”
“I decided to see Steve because I wanted support in making healthier changes that actually felt realistic for my day-to-day life, having been told by my GP that I was pre-diabetic.
From the first consultation, everything felt clear, manageable and tailored to me. Steve explained things in a way that made sense, and I left feeling more in control and confident about what to do next. He took care to understand my schedule, demonstrating that this was not a one-size-fits-all diet plan.
The changes have been surprisingly easy to adapt to. I’m eating more than I was before, my habits feel much healthier, and I’ve joined aqua aerobics twice a week with my daughter, alongside the strengthening exercises Steve recommended. I’ve already lost around nine pounds, but more importantly, I feel better and more capable of keeping this up long term.”
“Working with Steve has completely changed the way I understand food and my body. Instead of just focusing on weight loss, I learned how to build balanced meals that support my lifestyle.
I have lost weight, feel stronger, have toned up sustainably and generally feel more energetic. I also understand how small amounts of exercise within a daily routine can support the journey, whether that means walking further to collect a coffee or taking an occasional stroll around the block.
The guidance was practical, supportive and easy to follow. I now feel confident making healthy choices on my own. I would highly recommend Steve and Empower Nutrition to anyone looking to make sustainable changes in a realistic way.”
“Having lived with type 2 diabetes and obesity for over 25 years, I was utterly sceptical that nutrition could help me. I had tried fad diets, medication and bariatric surgery. I felt like a lost cause.
When I first spoke to Steve, I was honest about how broken my relationship with food felt. Steve helped me recognise patterns in my eating and understand that I needed a different kind of support. That clarity changed everything.
We created a structured eating plan based around foods I actually enjoy, without guilt. For the first time, I had a clear, calorie-targeted plan that did not feel like another fad diet.
I have lost over two stone, but more importantly, I have changed my mindset. I feel healthier not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I’m not finished yet, but for the first time I believe in my ability to get better and stay better.”

The rate varies according to your starting point, health, calorie deficit, consistency and circumstances. Sustainable Weight Loss is focused on meaningful progress you can maintain, not a guaranteed weekly number.
Calorie awareness and tracking can be useful, but they are not the only tools available. Steve will recommend the level of tracking and structure most appropriate for you.
You receive personalised food and meal guidance appropriate to your assessment. Where a structured meal plan is used, it is built around realistic foods and your preferences rather than a rigid list of diet products.
No. The goal is to create an appropriate overall intake and a routine you can repeat. Individual foods do not need to be labelled as forbidden for weight loss to work.
Yes. The assessment can consider changes in body composition, appetite, sleep, lifestyle and activity, while keeping the recommendations personalised to you.
Health conditions and medication are considered during your assessment. Nutritional coaching does not replace medical care, and Steve may ask you to speak with your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional where necessary.
No. The £149 assessment is a complete standalone service. Core and Transformation are optional if you would benefit from continued coaching.
